Infection with the SARS-CoV-2 variant B.1.1.7 detected in a group of dogs and cats with suspected myocarditis.
In collaboration with the MIVEGEC Joint Research Unit specialized in the study of zoonoses, we developed and carried out the molecular diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 from veterinary samples from cats and dogs. These analyses also highlighted a correlation between SARS-CoV-2 infection and the onset of cardiac pathologies.
