Our beliefs
Even the oxygen we breathe originates from biological phenomena that date back more than 3 billion years.
Everything related to life today, from the smallest microorganism to plants and animals, and even the lives of women and men, is subject to extremely complex biological phenomena. Industrial revolutions and population growth can upset all these fragile balances.

Our history
- 2017**: Creation of IAGE in Montpellier, hosted by CIRAD, around a core group of experts in biology and a technological ambition: to make precision environmental measurements accessible via Digital PCR.
- 2020: Phase of intense development driven by our innovations in monitoring SARS Cov 2 in wastewater. Creation of IAGE Paris and opening of the current laboratory in Montpellier.
- 2021-2024 : Launch of innovative solutions (DIAGBOX®, One Health Explorer®) and growth in numerous sectors: water, health, turf, agriculture, hospital hygiene, pests, etc...
- 2025 : acceleration across all sectors, new challenges, new large-scale applications, thanks to the entry of the SG-REED fund (see website of REED Management) into the capital of IAGE Paris.
Our laboratory
Our laboratory, based in Montpellier, is equipped with the latest molecular biology technologies (digital PCR, multi-matrix extraction, multiplexing) and operates in accordance with the most stringent quality standards.
Our production is fully managed and tracked using industrial tools that already enable us to perform 2,000 dPCR analyses per day
It is reinforced by an Aquatheque (freezers and deep freezers -80°C) and a backup diesel generator.
Thanks to our mastery of the entire technological chain, we offer reliable, quantitative, precise and reproducible solutions, even in the most complex matrices: soil, wastewater, surfaces, plants, etc.
Our team
Our rapidly growing team now has more than 30 people, including doctors, engineers and technicians, all working together on this project.
IAGE is assisted by an Ethics Committee composed of independent experts with strong reputations in their fields (law, medicine, and biology).
Recognised skills
The IAGE laboratory naturally operates under ISO 9001 certification.
IAGE is the first environmental molecular biology laboratory to obtain ISO 17025 certification for dPCR measures, COFRAC accreditation no. 1-7292, scope available at www.cofrac.fr
The expertise of the IAGE team is also demonstrated by its numerous public partnerships, including Santé Publique France (SUM’EAU programme), Paris-Sorbonne University (OBEPINE + programme), Montpellier University (MISARBO programme), IFREMER, university hospitals and national reference laboratories.
